CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Since being elected, Katrina has returned over $3.5 million in taxpayer funds from running a fiscally responsible operation
  • Established the Property Tax Fraud, Investigation & Recovery Program which has recovered and returned $366,836 to local taxing authorities
  • Instituted overall technology upgrades such as Homestead Exemption online filing, TPP online filing, website upgrades, new technology in ESRI GIS Data & Maps
  • Instituted Spanish support for the office including customer service, the website, and public-facing materials
  • Created a Community Outreach department in 2017 to make a better effort to reach out to the public

  • The “Certificate of Excellence for Assessment Administration” was issued by the International Association of Assessing Officers in 2010 and was recertified in 2016 and 2022.
  • The Government Experience Award for the redevelopment of the Homestead Exemption Online Application in 2022

  • The President’s Award by the Florida Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers in 2022
  • The Chairman Award from the St. Cloud Chamber of Greater Osceola in 2022
  • The Good Government Award by the St. Cloud Chamber of Greater Osceola in 2021
  • The Bob Walden Award from the Property Appraisers’ Association of Florida in 2017 for her continued dedication and outstanding service to the organization
